George was loved & adored by the Bessler's in Illinois. His sudden passing took us all by shock.
While George was the family's cat, he really won Nicholas over as his best buddy!
Our hearts go out to the Besslers at this time.

We believe George died of the dreaded HCM disease and we suspect he was
positive for the one DNA mutation known to be associated with HCM. 
This sad result is proof that not only are echocardiograms essential in eliminating
the disease, but  DNA testing is also fundamental towards that end.
