Meet "Emmie" - a VERY special girl. Her mom, Dracoonfly Autumn Sedge, aka Trixie, came to me as an adult and after several successful litters. When she came, however, I struggled to get her pregnant. Finally, after 2 years of trying, Leonard was successful. The day after Emmons' passing, Trixie went in labor. Emmie was born via c-section and the only surviving kitten in the litter. She has such a special pedigree behind her mom, and as I had her mom spayed during the c-section, she was staying regardless of her type. It was an amazing surprise to then watch her grow into a beautiful girl who then took the show world by storm. I am anxiously awaiting the final standings for the 2023-2024 season. She was also a 3 show Supreme Grand Champion!

Her name also has a heartwarming story. When Emmons' passed and she was born my two nieces, who had a very special tradition of calling Emmons "MnMs" from a young age when they couldn't pronounce his name, but could MnMs. They said I needed to name her that and when Emmons' daughter had the same idea, without knowing that they had also suggested it, I knew it was meant to be.

UPDATE (January 2026): I wasn't able to get Emmie successfully bred again and she has been spayed. She is now living in her forever home with Amy & family. With her arrival into their home, two little girls have had their dreams met of having a cat. Amy adopted my very first Maine Coon, Gus, back in 2010/2011, when she was fresh out of college. Gus has long since passed, but her passion for having a Maine Coon lives on now in Emmie.
